Travel Health

We are no longer able to provide chargeable travel vaccination services at Rillwood Medical Centre. These include Hepatitis B, Rabies, Tuberculosis (TB), Yellow Fever, Meningitis, Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis.

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel most pharmacies that provide this service suggest that you contact them six to eight weeks prior to date of travel to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include identifying which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

For some people travelling overseas, vaccination against certain diseases may not be advised. This may be the case if:
– you have a condition that affects your body’s immune system, such as HIV or AIDS
– you’re receiving treatment that affects your immune system, such as chemotherapy
– you’ve recently had a bone marrow or organ transplant
